Career Placement

Galen College of Nursing holds frequent in-house employment fairs for graduating and progressing nursing students that bring in local employers, offer resume resources and tips, and provide resume reviews. Healthcare industry representatives with hiring needs regularly attend these employment fairs to meet Galen nursing students.

Galen also provides career placement counseling for students. Job opportunities are posted on a student communications bulletin board. Faculty counsel students on how to pursue job openings for which they are qualified.

Galen assists students and graduates with job placement, as requested. Job placement is not guaranteed, but our nurses can tell you that a career in nursing offers excellent job opportunities for registered nurses, which is the largest healthcare occupation in the U.S. Healthcare jobs such as nursing also are expected to grow much faster than average occupations through 2020.
